At the age of 27, Daniel Lavee has been playing bridge for almost twenty years. At the age of ten, he played his first tournament in Toronto with long time bridge friends Charles Halasi and Gavin Wolpert. He recalls sitting with Gavin in the back of the Wolpert station wagon on the way to the Royal York Hotel. Mila came to the United States from Russia five years ago and has settled in New York City. She has developed Bridge Union, a video blog website that promotes bridge, especially to younger players and non-players. Togliatti, Russia. February 13-14, 2006. (I wrote it couple hours ago, and no one proof read it).
Near Midnight. I was in the car on my way home from “playing” bridge. One of club players was planning to drop me off near my apartment building. At the last minute I changed my mind and asked him to leave me at the grocery store that was 5 blocks (NYC blocks) away from my place. There, I got some food and was excited to get home and have some late dinner.
