At the age of 27, Daniel Lavee has been playing bridge for almost twenty years. At the age of ten, he played his first tournament in Toronto with long time bridge friends Charles Halasi and Gavin Wolpert. He recalls sitting with Gavin in the back of the Wolpert station wagon on the way to the Royal York Hotel.
