Contract Bridge For the World
Dear Bridge Aficionados!
I'm making an announcement addressed to the whole NY, NJ bridge community.
You can watch a short video address at:
http:www.bridgeunion.com/video/youthbridgeneedshelp or read it below:
We all know and appreciate the mental benefits of this wonderful game and we also know that the number of bridge players is declining.
Against whom are we going to compete in 10, 15, 20 years from now? We can blame video games, Internet, TV but it will not solve the numbers problem. We need to take some serious actions to revitalize bridge.
I'm Mila Antonova and I promote bridge to a new generation. I've started Youth Bridge Club and I wish to expand this endeavor. For this year's program Al Levy raised $2000 from ACBL and I raised $6240 from people who believe in me and my program. I'm committed to establishing a successful Youth Organization that supports all bridge activities in NY, NJ areas. I know my limitations that is why I'm addressing to you:I need your help.
There is many ways you can help:
First, Be part of the team who will create a non-for profit organization to support all youth activities. Bring your experience and skills! One day, we would be able to fund our Youth and Juniors teams from NY, NJ to compete at National and World Championships.
Second, Be part of the team who will reach and enroll many young players, inspire their parents and engage media.
Third, Invest two hours of your time in teaching children at a Youth Bridge Club or any other programs that need teachers. More information: http://www.bridgeunion.com/page/youth-programs
Fourth, Make a donation to our fiscal sponsor for this year: Atlanta Junior Bridge on bridgeunion.com under fundraising section: http://www.bridgeunion.com/page/youth-fundraising-drive
Fifth, Send me your ideas, comments and suggestions.
Contact me now at mila@bridgeunion.com
Together we can make bridge more popular than ever!
Thank you!
